Deaths Recorded From the Chancellor's office comes a report of the death of two faculty members who have been on University Retirement. It was moved by Regent Elliot, seconded by Regent Thompson, that these deaths be made a matter of record in these minutes and that the University retirement payrolls be adjusted. The names of the deceased and dates of death are as follows:

Authorize supplement to U.S. Civil Aeronautics Contract- VHP Airway Radio Range at North Platte Exp. Station
It was moved by Regent Thompson, seconded by Regent Welsh, that upon approval by University Attorneys, the president and assistant coporation secretaty be directed to sign in behalf of the Board Supplement No. 1 to Lease No. C5-ca3925 granting to the U.S. Civil Aeronautics Administration right-of-way for the installation and maintenance of overhead power lines and poles and underground cables in connection with the CAA Very High Frequency Airway Radio Range on University Property at the North Platte Experiment Station. Motion put to vote and carried.
Amend Restriction to permit Zeta Tau Alpha additional building area It was moved by Regent Thompson, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and assistant corporation secretary be directed to sign an Agreement amending a subdivision restriction in Rathbone's University Terrace. This amendment, also signed by other owners of abutting properties, permits the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority to extend their new sorority house eight feet into an area previously reserved as a courtyard.
Authorize contract with Air Force for Air ROTC Flight Training
It was moved by Regent Elliot, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, that the president and assistant corporation secretary be directed to sign a contract with the Air Force providing for payments by the Air Force in connection with the Air ROTC flight training program. The services will be provided under this contract by Lincoln Aviation Institute, Inc., as sub-contractor.
Plaque for Foundation Seed Building It was moved by the Regent Elliot, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, that a plaque be prepared to be available at the time of the Foundation Seed Building open house scheduled for January, 1958. The plaque will bear the following inscription: Foundation Seed Building Presented to the University of Nebraska October 8,1955, by the Agricultural Reasearch Service, Omaha, Nebraska

The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska met on this day for a special meeting at 10:00 o'clock A.M. in the Administration Building on the city campus at Lincoln.

Minutes Approved
The minutes of the proceedings of the Board at their meeting held November 2, 1957, were approved, copy of the same having been transmitted to the several members of the Board under its order of October 1, 1926.
From the Chancellor's office comes reports of resignations, new appointments, ad interim to the University staff, retirement, and adjustments in work and salary for members of the several staffs, money being available for those purposes from former apportionment by the Board, the following action is taken.

It was moved by Regent Welsh, secconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried that this death be made a matter of record in these minutes and that the University retirement payrolls be adjusted.
Approve addition to P. M.Hall Art Collection
Approval was given to the recommendation of the Director of the University Art Galleries that a number of art objects be purchased for the P. M. Hall Collection. These involve water color paintings, one piece of sculpture, nine prints and three ceramic pieces. All have been approved in accordance with the practice of having purchases reviewed by authorities in the field of art. Funds are available under the stipulations providing for the Hall Art Collection. Motion for approval was made by Regent Swanson, seconded by Regent Thompson, put to vote and carried.
Accept gift of portrait from Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Stieglitz of New York
It was moved by Regent Thompson, seconded by Regent Swanson, motion put to vote and carried, that the gift of Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Stieglitz of New York City be accepted. Mr. and Mrs. Stieglitz have presented a water color portrait of Theodoros Stanos by Elias Newman. This picture has been reviewed by the Art Galleries Consulting Comitte, and it is the Comittee's recommendation that the gift be accepted.
