AFTER RECESS. LINCOLN, NEB. June 16th, 1886.

The Board of Regents met at 2 o'clock p. m., pursuant to adjournment of yesterday.

Present, Regents Furnham, Gerem Hiatt and Holmes. Absent, Regents Hull & Mallalieu.

The minutes of the last preceeding meeting were read and approved.

Lieut. E. S. Dudley read his report of the progress of the military department accompanied with estimates of expenses for ensuing year, which was received and referred to the University and Library Committee and the Finance Committee.

Professor Bessey read his report of the Department of Botany and Horticulture and same was referred to the Finance Committee.

On motion of Regent Holmes, it was ordered that the steward be instructed to settle all accounts with Professor Bessey and examine and approve his accounts if found correct.

The Finance Committee reported as follows: The Committee have examined Prof. Wings report and find the same correct. We recommend that Prof. Wings request to use rooms adjoining library be granted. We also recommend that he be directed to sell the Ayshire and Devon cows and any bulls that are not needed on the farm, he to fix the prices.

On Motion the report of the Committee was adopted.

The Committee on course of study reported as follows:

1. Post Graduate Degrees. We concur in the general conditions and propositions upon this subject embraced in the catalouge of 1885-5, oo54, and recommend thein enforcement.
