Buffalo Bill's Performance.

Hon. W. F. Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill, was greeted last evening by an audience far above the average in numbers. The play is the best he has ever brought to this city. While it is exciting enough for even the most [words?] it [word?] is none of the trashy Indian, fights and whom the murders which generally characterize plays of plot were redeembed by the vagarks of an Irishman, bug doctor, and negro, who were very funny. The Indian cand amused the young people, and the antice of a trained donkey drew roars of laughter from young and old alike. Buffalo Bill's first appearance was greeted with a storm of applause. He gave some remarkable fests of markmanship during the course of the play, the most notable of which was knocking the ashes from a lighted cigar in a man's muth. Every move of the famous scout and Indian fighter called forth the noisy admiraiton of the crowded gallery. Buffalo Bill's new play will give satisfaction wherever he visits.

Hon: William Frederick Cody and troupe drew a large and enthusiastic audience last night, and gave an entertainment that was highly enjoyable, judging from the prolonged applause and constant shouts of laughter that greeted the many thrilling situations and laughable scenes. The play is just like a dime novel. It has its fair maiden, its double-dyed villain, its funny Irishman, its humorous darkey, its eccentric and baldheaded doctor from Boston, its educated mule, its military, its savage Indians and its hero -- Buffalo Bill -- who is a good actor, a wonderful marksman, and as fine a specimen of manhood as can be found in any land. Everybody was amused and pleased.
