Hon: William Frederick Cody and troupe drew a large and enthusiastic audience last night, and gave an entertainment that was highly enjoyable, judging from the prolonged applause and constant shouts of laughter that greeted the many thrilling situations and laughable scenes. The play is just like a dime novel. It has its fair maiden, its double-dyed villain, its funny Irishman, its humorous darkey, its eccentric and baldheaded doctor from Boston, its educated mule, its military, its savage Indians and its hero -- Buffalo Bill -- who is a good actor, a wonderful marksman, and as fine a specimen of manhood as can be found in any land. Everybody was amused and pleased.
