D. Sir: -- Your card received, I have writen D. [?] once and Vice President Surges of [?], twice in reference to the Science [?], I feel sure that you since hear of something soon.

The program committee consists of J. N. [?] and Roscoe Pound. D. Kingsley last spring suggested that we follow the plan of the A. A. A. Science. As our committee may not know much about this association. I have suggested to Prof. Surges that the committee be requested to consult with you.

Yours W. E. Taylor.

I received to day a copy of your report on the native trees & shrubs of Nebraska, I find the Wild Crab Apple is found in Gage, Johnson Nemaha & Butler Counties, it is also found in Holt Co. & I believe only on one stream (Steele Creek) you can probably get specimens by addressing O. T. Jones of Dorsey Holt Co Nebr
