Chappel June 25. 91.

Dear Sir: Tues day noon, we left Curtis for Venango We picked up a few plants at the stations where the train stoped and also some at Venango. Freeport, Banner Co Neb. July 13, 1891 Dear Sir. I arrived to Venango June 23 took train up to Deuel Co botanized left on hired team June 30, went dow to Nort Platte Bottom , which we followed. July 4 we read the Declaration of Independence from the top of Court House Rock. We have been doing some good work in Banner Co. are crossing the [Army in Seed Valley]. Dear Sir: I send two boxes of dried plants to your address. I have my trunk nearly full to, but it is to heavy to be sent by express, and not in such condition that I can send it by freight. I will keep it till I go myself. From Freeport we went to Ashford and from Asford to Gering, the county Seat of Scotts Bluff County. There we staid over a week. Scotts Bluff was a very good field.
