Lake City [Hotell] Curtis, June 22 1891.
Dear Sir. We came to Minden Friday night, June 12, met Dr. Hapeman, who took us out on Saturday. Mr. Flodman was poisoned by Poison Ivy. Last Monday he was blind on one eye, but is nearly well now. On Monday Dr. Hape man and Mr. [Palmer] took us out to Platte River. We got wet in a shower of r ain. On Tuesday we went to Axtell. Raining - to wet for botanizing. Wednes day, raining the whole day. Thurday afternoon I took a ride to the Sand hills and Platte. Came back late in the night (continued on next [page])

Curtis June 22 91 (continued) Friday, raining again. We made our way to Holdrege in the evening, where we stopt over night to make connection. Satur day morning we went to Bertrand. After having put our presses in order we went out to a canyon in the afternoon. This morning we mounted the train again and arrived here at noon. We have bee out this afternoon. Here has been flood. The Little Medicine has been 6 feet over the level. We had to take of our clothes and wade the river in order to cross. What plants we have found I will tell later. I think we have some [ ] Yours P.
