Dear Sir, I have the honor to acknowledge receipt of your favor of the 7th inst. mentioning the desire of Mrs. E. W. Edwards, of your city, to be appointed to some position in the Department of Liberal Arts.

Your letter has been filled in the Department of Liberal Arts, and will receive attention whenever there is a vacancy in which Mrs. Edwards' services can be profitably employed.
