Referring to your communication of the 16th ultimo, regarding
the observation of tornadoes in Iowa and Nebraska, I have the honor
to say that this office will be very glad to have you continue your
valuable observations and reports from your new station at Lincoln,
Nebraska, as far as it is possible for you to make them. This office
will gladly accept the services of Prof. J. G. Haines, at Ames, Iowa, as
you have suggested, and he has been so written.

Your enclosed report on "Tornado Day" (April 14th 1886) is very
interesting.

Tornado publications will be mailed to you at your new station.
