THE SCOUTS OF THE PLAINS----The
dramatic troupe which is to appear at the
Academy of Music on Wednesday and
Thursday next, is (?) spoken of by the
Harford, Conn, Times:
" the first enterainment of the Buffalo
Bill party, the Opera House, last even
ing. drew forth one of largest houses
we have overseen there. The play was
an (?) improvement on the one they
gave here last year, and the performance
much better. Buffalo Bill. as handome
as ever, has become used to the stage and
now apparentely as much at home there
as on his native plains. Texas Jack has
also improved in style, action and voice,
Mr. Frank Mordanunt sustained the disa-
greeable part of Jim Dawes very well.
Mr. Wlater Fletcher acted well and
pleased the audiences as Nick Bluder, and
recived three (encores?) to his song and
dance . Mille Morlacchi acted, danced
and sang gracfully, and other ladies
of the company----Miss Fisher, Hodson
and Safford--- did exceedingly well. in
fact. it was as good as entertaimnet of
the kind as we have had given at the
Opera House, and no doubt another
crowded house will greet the company to
night.
