THE SCOUTS OF THE PLAINS----The dramatic troupe which is to appear at the
Academy of Music on Wednesday and Thursday next, is thus spoken of by the
Harford, Conn, Times:

"The first entertainment of the Buffalo Bill party, the Opera House, last evening. drew forth one of the largest houses we have ever seen there. The play was an immense improvement on the one they gave here last year, and the performance much better. Buffalo Bill, as handsome as ever, has become used to the stage and now apparently as much at home there as on his native plains. Texas Jack has also improved in style, action and voice, Mr. Frank Mordanunt sustained the disagreeable part of Jim Dawes very well. Mr. Walter Fletcher acted well and pleased the audience as Nick Bluder, and received three encores for his song and dance. M'lle Morlacchi acted, danced and sang gracefully, and other ladies of the company----Misses Fisher, Hodson and Safford--- did exceedingly well. In fact, it was as good as entertainment of the kind as we have had given at the Opera House, and no doubt another crowded house will greet the company to-night.
