it seems to me that it is the
best I have ever seen for the general
reader—& it must be [equally?]
[allotted?] to the wants of students in
schools & colleges. Most authors
make "dry bones" of this [noble study?]
but you have the rare facility of
putting life, motion, spirit into
whateer you write. I have no doubt
the volume will win its way to very
wide [appreciation?] & fully meet your
hopes
