THE SCOUTS. - Buffalo Bill, Texas Jack, Wild Bill, Morlacchi and their excellent stock company had a very good house last evening, though the Opera House was not packed as it was at the opening performance. The Scouts pleased their friends more than ever, and the charming Morlacchi was greeted with hearty evidences of favor. The play is an admirable one of its kind, as it seems to have been adapted to the talent of the party which is now meeting with such remarkable success. The Scouts will be sure of having good houses whenever they choose to come this way. Buffalo Bill expects to join General SHERIDAN and go towards the scene of the Indian difficulties as soon as the grass starts. He has a very pleasant letter from "Little PHIL," which contains very complimentary expressions of regard.

A Pleasant Visit. THE SCOUTS AT THE ASYLUM. Yesterday afternoon Buffalo Bill, Texas Jack, Wild Bill, Captain Smith, of Newport, who belongs to Gen. Onstar's command, Dr. L. B. Holmes, of this city, and two reporters visited the State Lunatic Asylum. They were cordially received by Dr. Andrews, who presides in the absence of Dr. Gray. Drs. Livingstone and Ford very kindly escorted the party through the various wards of the institution, showing everything to the strangers that might interest them. The fine looking Scouts attracted considerable attention, and many expressions of admiration from the female patients. Texas Jack recognized a female patient who had been amused at examining his mammoth gold neck-chain about a year ago while en route to the Asylum. The recognition was mutual. The sight of so many unfortunates was a new sensation to the border men, and they were astonished at the scrupulous neatness, wonderful quiet and perfect discipline which prevailed in so large an establishment. The dining-rooms of the Asylum are being improved and enlarged, and a hospital is being added to each floor of the female department. This will be an improvement long desired. Buffalo Bill found a male patient who said he was Buffalo Bill No. 2, and one of the females laughed at the Scouts for wearing such long-haired wigs The visitors were extremely well pleased with their visit, and the kind hearts of the border men were touched by the condition of many of the unfortunate patients. Some of the patients, with their attendants, were at the Opera House on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and they recognized the Scouts very quickly.
