Ober, while out riding with another member of the Opera- house company (Mr. Page), on March 7, was thrown from the carriage and severely injured. It was the marriage of Mr. Walter G. Finlaison (better known in the theatrical world as Walter Fletcher) and Miss Lizzie Safford, both members of the Buffalo Bill company."

......The Buffalo Bill Combination opened on Feb. 26 at Martin Hall for a three night's stay. Route: Schenectady, March 2, Utica 3, 4, Oswego 5, Syracuse 6, 7, Auburn 9, Rochester 10, 11."
The Buffalo Bill Combination gave performances at the Griswald Opera-house, Troy, N.Y., on Feb. 24, 25, to packed houses. The play "Life on the Plains" has been entirely rewritten, and exhibits a great improvement. The principal characters were sustained by Buffalo Bill, Texas Jack, Wild Bill, the new attraction, and a recent addition to the troupe, is a tall, fine-looking man, straight as an arrow, and looks like a genuine Indian fighter. Mlle. Morlacchi as Pale Dove received considerable applause. She also appeared to excellent advantage in the comedietta "Thrice Married," and sang admirably a cavitina from " Ernani." The company supporting the scouts is made up if good material. The receipts of the two performances amounted to over $1,900. J. B. Omohumdro (Texas Jack) while in Troy, bought a fine thoroughbred colt, very fast and promising, of J. A. Morrison.

From Chicago, ILL., under date of May 14, our correspondent sends us the appended report of amusements: "The sudden change of the weather to extreme warmth has affected the attendance at our places of amusement, the audiences ruling quite light during the past week. Maggie Mitchell appeared at McVicker's Theatre every night during the week as Fanchon..... Hooley's Theatre is closed, and it is not yet definitely stated what will be the next attraction. ......At the Academy, Buffalo Bill and his party are drawing very good houses, and the entertainment provided for the patrons is one which presents many new and interesting features. Bill and Texas Jack handle the vernacular of the plains in all of its native simplicity, and they also handle fire-arms in good style. Moriacchi is as poetic as ever in her pantomimic action. In the company are a young lady named Hollis and a young gentleman named Fletcher, who give promise of future excellence.
