Fairmont, Nebr Aug 7, '91 Prof. C. E. Bessey Dear Sir: I today sent you box of Specimens- You will notice one specimen of Heteranthera is longer leaved than the others. this is like the one I first examined and to-day I notice its leaves were all floating while much of the others were erect thought the difference might be due to it being a younger plant. I sent you all there was of that plant. the others were branches taken from large bunches. I have not noticed any specimen having more than
