It will be obligatory upon the student to drill each term until the six terms required are completed or the student graduates. Students may tak part or all of the required number of terms, whilst a member of the prepatory department.

111 . All members of the Battalion are required to register immediately upon their entrance into the University each term in the book kept for that purpose by the Commandant of Cadets. The Commandant may excuse from such registration those holding certificates of completion of the required Military course, or those holding certificates of permanent physical disqualification.

1V. Cadets completing the required duties in this department will be furnished with a certificate showing the same, and giving also the rank attained and any extra service, or studies pursued.

V. Students coming under the rules, who are permanently physically disqualified from performing military duties, will upon application to the Chancellor be provided with a certificate showing such disqualification, which will excuse them from serving in this department upon its presentation to the Commandant to be recorded by him.
