Chancellor financial report approved.
The finance committee reported as follows:
In the matter of the financial report of the Chancellor, your committee would report that they have examined the same and find same correct.

On motion the report of the committee was received and adopted.
Committee on the Armory building. Dudley, Burnham, Dales (Manatt).
On motion the following resolution was adopted. Whereas, The demand and need for an Armory building and Gymnasium, is imperative and pressing
Therefore be it resolved that a committee consisting of Lieutenant Dudley, Regent Burnham and the Steward, Mr. Dales, be and is hereby appointed to deliberate upon and prepare original plans for the erection of said building: the said committee are authorized to call to their aid to assist in the proper maturity of said plans Mr. _________ Architect, but no obligation of any kind shall be incurred to such Architect further than for services actually rendered to such committee. The said committee shall report its procedings, and such plans as it may be able to mature under the advice of said Architect, to the Board at a meeting intervening before the annual meeting in June next : and if suitable plans for said building shall be then approved by said Board, the Architect shall be instructed to immediately prepare plans and specifications in duplicate according to the terms of the act of the Legislature.
On motion the following resolution was also adopted:
Whereas, it is desirable and necessary that the construction of the industrial College building shall go forward as rapidly as the condition of the University fund will permit, Therefore, Resolved, that a committee consisting of Professors Bessey and Hicks, Regent Burnham and the Steward, Mr. Dales, be and is hereby appointed to deliberate upon and prepare original plans for the erection of said building : the said committee are authorized to call to their aid to assist in the proper maturity of said plans Mr. ____________ Architect, but no obligation of any kind shall be incurred to such Architect further than for services ac tually rendered to such committee.
