MAR 16 1887

Lincoln Nebraska March 16th, 1887.

The Board of Regents of the University of Nebraska, met at the Chancellors office in the main building at 2O'clock p.m., pursuant to the adjournment of the December meeting 1886.

Present Regents Leavitt Burnham, C. H. Gere, E. P. Holmes and J. T. Mallalieu.

The minutes of the last preceeding meeting were read and approved.

Regent Holmes stated that it was impossible for him to sit with the Board at this time and asked to be excused. Excuse was accordingly granted, and the Board thereby without a quorum, a recess was taken until 2 O'clock p. m. tomorrow.

Lincoln, Neb. March 17th, 1887.

The Board of Regents of the University met at 2 O'clock p. m.

Present Regents Leavitt Burnham, C. H. Gere, M. J. Holl and J. T. Mallalieu.
Absent Regents J. M. Hiatt and E. P. Holmes.

The Secretary and Steward read a memorandum of business for the present meeting.

Recommendations for Medical Degrees

A communication was received and read, from the Medical Faculty, recommending that the degree of Doctor of Medicine be conferred up the following name candidatesm viz:
Dwight S. Moore, Mahlon A, Kelso and Edward F. Dodd.
Also from the Homoeopathic section for the following named candidates, to wit:
Joseph S. Eaton and John K. Maxson.

Medical Degrees Conferred.

Regent Burnham moved that the recommendations of the Medical Faculty be approved and adopted and that the degree of Doctor of Medicine be conferred upon the candidates above named as recommended, and diplomas awarded accordingly.

The motion prevailed.
