Wings financial report approved

The finance committee also reported the following:
The finance committee report that they have examined the financial report of Prof. Wing, Superintendent of the College Farm, with vouchers accompanying and find the same correct.

Sale of stock at farm &c.

In regard to the disposition of the excess of live stock on the farm, the Committee would reiterate the instruction given at the June meeting of the Board, and impress upon the superintendent the necessity of extra efforts looking to the speedy disposal of said stock to the best advantage possible for the UNiversity. It is desirable that no more of said stock should be kept through the winter than is absolutely necessary.

Boarding at Farm.

We Do recommend that the agreement contemplated between superintendent Wing on the part of the Board of Regents and Mrs. Courtney, Housekeeper, as to the boarding arrangement at the college farm, be so modified that board shall be furnished students at actual cost, but not to exceed $2.75 per week hereafter.

Relating to Law school.

The committee on Course of study reported as follows:
1. That the establishment of a Law school in connection with the University should be done only after careful investigation of the general demand for such a department.
2. That a committee be appointed to confer with the members of the State Bar Association in reference to the advisability of taking such steps as will lead to the establishment of a Law department, and if in the opinion of said association there is need for a department of this nature, then to secure their cooperation.
