It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Adkins, motion put to vote and carried, that the recommendations of the Tractor Testing Board be approved.

Approve outside employment of Dr. William Coil, Dept. of Zoology

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried that approval be given to the request of Dr. William Coil that he be permitted to serve as a U. S. Navy consultant on a fee basis. Dr. Coil's work would involve identification of parasitic worms collected by the U. S. Navy in various parts of the world. This association has the recommendation of Dean Walter E. Militzer.

Regents Freshman Scholarship competition open to upper one-third in high school class

It was moved by Regent Adkins, seconded by Regent Greenberg, motion put to vote and carried (Voting No: Regent Foote) that approval be given to the request of the Committee on General Scholarship Awards that the Regents Freshman Scholarship competition be open to students ranking in the upper one-third of their respective high school classes.

Dr. Thomas L. Thompson permitted to serve as member of Nebr. Board of Examiners in basic sciences

It was moved by Regent Foote, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that approval be given to the request of Dr. Thomas L. Thompson that he be permitted to serve as a member of the Nebraska Board of Examiners in the basic sciences. This appointment has the recommendation of Dr. Carl E. Georgi, Chairman of the Department of Bacteriology.

Student Union facilities to be named "The Nebraska Union"

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried (Regent Foote not voting) that approval be given to the January 9, 1958, recommendation of the Union Board of Managers that upon completion of the proposed addition and renovation of existing facilities the official name be changed to "The Nebraska Union."
