Dear Sir.

I take
the liberty of sending you
a specimen of a vine found
growing along Salt Creek, and
of asking you to name it for
me.

To my eye it looks like
Clematis [Virginnaria?], yet
not the same. I have about
concluded taht it is C. [Ligustiafolia?],
which I have read somewhere
takes the place of C. [Virginnaria?],
in the Weston States, but
as I have at hand no description
of it I am unable to decide.
