Dear Sir:

Your letter of the 25th inst., and a specimen of grass are received. Dr. Vasey will be absent in the Southwest until about Sept. 1st. Your plant is Redfieldia flexuosa (Torr. Rull. XLV, 133), a good find. Very many thanks for the specimen, if we may keep it.
