My Dear Sir;

The AEciduium you
send is what I have called
AE. Oenotherae Pls. I never
found AEciduium on Epilobrium
leaves, but have specimens on
leaves of OE. brieunis which answers
the description so well that I regard
it as AE. Epilobis. The peredia
are not on spots in clusters but
are scattered over the whole lower
surface and are without spot and
have such a different habit and
aspect that I can but regard the
two as distinct. I never saw
intermediate forms.
