My Dear Sir;
The [AEcidium?] you
send is what I have called
[AE. OEnotherae Pls.?] I never
found [AEcidium?] on [Epilobium?]
leaves, but have specimens on
leaves of OE. [illegible] which [illegible]
the description so well that I regard
it as [illegible]. The [illegible]
are not on spots in cluster but
are scattered over the whole lower
surface and are without [illegible] and
have such a different habit and
aspect that I can but regard the
two as distinct. I never asaw
