This popular historian who has been appearing at the Academy of Music this work, supported by an efficient dramatic company, we are pleased to state has been drawing immense houses. The mere announcement of Buffalo Bill alone would insure an overflowing house at most any times, but to have a succession slightly of such tremendous business and also increasing each night reflects great credit on the performance, both as to the quality of the drama and the excellent company and completely dispels the idea of any taint that may have overshadowed this old familiar place of amusement by the nature of past entertainments lately given here To-night "The Red Right Hand" will be given for the last time and the thrilling frontier drama "Life on the Border" will be given at the holiday matinee to-morrow and also in the evening, which will be the last appearance of the company. It may be well enough to mention here that Cleveland has some claim on the hero scout, Ilon. W. F. Cody. Ill's father was one of the early settlers here, who afterwards emigrated to the frontier, and Mr. Joseph Cody, now a resident of our city is uncle to William F. and the only retire he has living. |
