The sensational and thrilling situations with which the play abounds are worked up naturally and with tremendeous effect upon the audience. In the scouts' acting there is nothing stilted or stagey, and both being splendid specimens, physically, of the American irontiersman(?), they win round after round of applause as the climaxes follow each other in rapid succession. | 121 |
