148WHO KNEW HIM FIRST. Buffalo Bill the Object of Dispute. Last evening, shortly after the entertainment given by Buffalo BIll company was over, a party of three or four congregated at a certain place and engaged in a discussion, as to who had the honor of knowing Buffalo Bill first. A said that he did, whereupon B said that A was a liar, whereupon C brought a good-sized chair down upon the head of B and the fun commenced, but B, being the best man of the three, soon got his work in, and was still keeping it up, when he was stopped and the whole three of them ejected. For a time, however, things looked dark, and it was only through the heroic courage of one man thay a more serious fight did not take place. | 148 |
