98The Scouts. But the farce in the estimation of the boys is only a "talking piece" as we heard one of them say last night. It is the "Scouts of the Plains" that is the great attraction. Abounding in incongruities, gun powder and Indians, there is still a great deal of fun and interest in the play, and it is not more improbable than half the stuff that -holds the stage at the present time. "The Scouts" show signs of improvement as actors and Mr. Cody especially has improved both in elocution and gesture. The company which supports them is an unusually good one including Mr. Frank Mordaunt, an actor of much merit. The last performance will take place this evening. | 98 |
