26THE FOOTLIGHTS. At the Opera house gathering Saturday evening there was a large and enthusiastic audience to witness the production of the sensational drama "May Cody," as produced by the Buffalo Bill combination. THe drama itself was thrilling in parts and threaded by quite an interesting plot. Incidental to the play was the introduction of the Austin Bros., who made some of the most remarkable short range shots over witnessed, including one in which the rifle was placed upside down and fired backwards, cleaving an apple held in the other's hand. A trick mule also served to greatly amuse the audience. The company proved a strong one and the scenic effects and appointments were fine. | 26 |
