Prof. Bessie
Lincoln, Neb

Dear Sir:

My brother who is a student at
the [?]. R. Polytechnic [?] is on a visit
to me and while here desires to collect inch
specimens of botany and geology as may be
of interest to the students and faculty of
his school, and perhaps of practical value to arbor [?].

Dr Miller of The Herald with whom
I was associated on the paper for several years
suggested that I write to you as the best
means of obtaining both specimens and
advice for my brother.

Will you be kind enough to do
what you can for me in this matter,
and be sure to call on me for any favors that
I may be able to return for your trouble?
