MRS. PEATTIE'S LOSS.

Former Omaha Newspaper Woman's
Studio Is Destroyed

Chicago, Ill., Sept. 27.-- "Wild Wood,"
the log cabin studio of Mrs. Elia W.
Peattie, near South Haven, Mich., was
burned to the ground last Monday night.
More than fifty of Mrs. Peattie's unpublished
manuscripts were destroyed.
