THE THEATRE - Scouts of the Plains - Matinee To-day and Last Performace. - Buffalo Bill and Texas Jack, the two renowned frontiersmen, whose very names are suggestive of blood, red fire, and gunpowder, drew together an immense audience at the Theatre last evening. "Scouts of the Plains," like "Life on the Border," is one of those highly seasoned sensational, startling plays bordering on the impossibility, yet calculated, as it did numerous times last night, to bring down Niagaras of applause. At times the audience was so worked up by the excitement of the moment, that the applause was fairly deafening. Mlle. Morlacchi was as bewitching and graceful as ever, and justly earned the repeated applause which was showered on her. The farce, "Widow's Victim," in which she sustains the prominent character, was capitally rendered and immensely enjoyed. There will be a matinee to-day at 12 o'clock, for the benefit of ladies and children, and we have no doubt that the theatre will be jammed. The price of admission for ladies will be 50 cents and children 25 cents. This is their last performance, and we advise those who wish to see the life of a frontiersman vividly portrayed, to go to the matinee to-day at 12 o'clock.
