Dear Dr. Bessey, Here I am over four thousand miles away from where I dreamed of being a year ago. Such are some of the vagaries of fate. I left New York Sept 9th and Oct 2 I was here and [ ]day later I was at work. I took the Red Star line to [A ] spent ten days on the ocean and could not have asked for a more delightful voyage. I [ ] a tour through Holland and then up the Rhine. I soon found out one thing. I do not care for the things the ordinary sightseer sees.
