My Dear Sir;

The [AEcidium?] you
send is what I have called
[AE. OEnotherae Pls.?] I never
found [AEcidium?] on [Epilobium?]
leaves, but have specimens on
leaves of OE. [?] which answers
the description so well that I regard
it as [AE Epilobis?]. The [peridia?]
are not on spots in clusters but
are scattered over the whole lower
surface and are without spot and
have such a different habit and
aspect that I can but regard the
two as distinct. I never saw
intermediate forms.
