On Saturday night there is to be an entertainment of a vastly different character, appealing rather to the senses than to the intellect, for "Buffalo Bill," Mr. Cody is nothing if not sensational. The troupe that is now starring it through the county under the name of the "Cody Combination" is an unusually strong one and the play, in which is introduced startling scenes of Indian and border life, is said to be the very best in its line. Beyond this we have the grand temperance demonstration at the Opera House on the 16th, when a lecture will be delivered by John B. Gough, the veteran lecturer of the American rostrum; the fair and festival of the Main street Methodist church at Washington Hall on the 19th and 20th; the soiree of Prof. F. Oborski's Boys' Musical Club on the 23d; the great dramatic event, the production of King Henry IV at the Opera House, with Mr. Edmon S. Conner as "Falstaff," on the 25th; the first musical and dramatic entertainment of the St. Aloysius Y. M. L. & D. Association at the Opera House on the 29th, and the grand entertainment of the Athespian Dramatic club on the 30th, thus bringing us right up to. May in the enjoyment of a series of brilliant entertainments such as it is not often the lot of citizens of Paterson to enjoy.
