145MAR 21 1888 Special Meeting. Lincoln,Nebraska March 21st . 1888. The Board of Regent s(sic) of the University of Nebraska met in special session at the Chancellors office at 9 o'clock a.m. ,pursuant(sic) to the call of the President of the Board,which(sic) is in substance as follows: Call Lincoln,Nebraska March 9th. 1888.(sic) To----------- Regent &c. There will be a special meeting of the Board of Regents on Wednesday March 21st., at 9 o'clock a.m. The object of this meeting is to consider matters connected with the Agricultural Experiment Station and such other business as may properly come before the Board. A full attendance is desired. (Signed) C.H.Gere Present Regents Byron B.Davis,Chas.H.Gere,M.J.Hull,Jno.T.Mallalieu,and(sic) George Roberts. Regent Davis assuming the office of E.P.Holmes,and (sic) Regent Roberts assuming the office of J.M.Hiatt. Absent,Regent Leavitt Burnham. The minutes of the last preceeding meeting were read and approved. Standing committees. On reorganization of the Board by reason of the new members taking their seats at this time, the President announced the following changes in and appointment of standing commit tees,(sic) to hold until the annual meeting in June next and until otherwise ordered, viz: C.H. Gere M.J.Hull J.T.Mallalieu L.Burnham By permission,Messrs(sic) Atkinson,Boggs,Imhoff(sic) and others as a committee of citizens of Lincoln,addressed(sic) the Board touching the matter of securing a right of way through the farm(experimental) for a proposed boulevard running northeasterly from the city and diagonally through the east quarter of the farm from the south west corner of said quarter(sic) 142 | 145Mar 21 1888 Special Meeting.
