Times May 28.
The success of Buffalo Bill's Wild West show
is assured. Its appropriateness to the world's
fair in conception and execution and the arrangement
of its details have won public approval and
the attendance continues to grow larger day by
day. It is a sight worth the price of admission
to see the great covered grandstand, which seats
18,000 people, crowded to its utmost capacity
and to look upon the sea of eager, expectant
faces watching with the keenest interest every
feature of the novel performance. The beauty
of the scene is greatly enhanced when the detachments
of cavalry from England, France,
Germany, and the United States come dashing
into the arena dressed in their beautiful uniform
and riding handsomely equipped horses. The
excellent arrangements made for the easy and
comfortable transportation of visitors to and
from the Wild West camp adds much to its popularity.
Since last Tuesday the Illinois Central
railroad has been running trains direct to the
gates of the camp; the alley "L," the electric
and the grip cars also take passengers to the
doors. In order to avoid the discomfort of
rush the management has made two entrances
one at Sixty-second street and one at Sixty-third,
and the comfort and enjoyment of visitors is well
attended to.
