The cut on the frontispiece of this issue represents
Buffalo Bill while he was employed as a
scout by the United States government under
General Nelson A. Miles. He is a Character
well know to all Americans and his acquaintance
abroad among the nobility is equally extensive.
He is a man of unimpeachable integrity
and a warm favorite among army men.
