"Buffalo Bill."

Buffalo Bill and his Caucassian and Indian company appeared at the Avon theater last night. The lower part of the house was well filled and the gallery was packed. The play was "The Prairie Walf." Mr. Cody gave a fine exhibition of rifle glass-ball shooting. He shot over his shoulder, sighting through a looking-glass, between his legs, lying on his back, one-handed, and held his gun in many different positions. Jule Keene caused much merriment by his quaint acting and droll Dutch sayings. The curtain was several times raised twice something unusual in Stockton. The actors played their parts well, and the continued stamping and clapping of hands showed that their efforts were appreciated.
