BUFFALO BILL. - Hon. W. F. Cody (Buffalo Bill), supported by a very good company, appeared in his new drama, Knights of the Plains, to a very good house, last evening, notwithstanding the local counter-attraction. The drama is considerably above the average of border plays, and is well placed upon the stage, with scenic effects and scenery made especially. A Concord stage and four horses, or the overlaud mail coach, the prairie on fire and the western gaming scene were all true to nature and deservingly appreciated. Buffalo Bill never appeared to such advantage. Assuming several characters, he ably portrayed his disguises with such perfect effect that at times the audience did not recognize him. He has greatly improved as an actor and we shall always be pleased to welcome him.
