28Buffalo Bill and his friend Captain Jack, with their company, gave a good performance at the Opera House last night. Of course it was peculiar in its character, having been written to portray more vividly the recent scenes on the plains. The band-to-hand conflict between the famous scout, Buffalo Bill, and the Chief, Yellow Hand, resulting in the death of the latter, was very realistic. The piece is calculated to draw out all the peculiar characteristics of the actors, the plot being not so much as the sensational and startling passges of border life.
