The enclosed envelope contains specimens of a plant which I found growing in sand. It appears to me like an Eleochars but I am unable to place it satisfactorily so send it to you for classification. The [?] grows a considerable distance from here but [?] endeavor to [?] another at the first opportunity.

Did you wish more specimens of the [?] [?]? In your request for more specimens I did not understand which you wished.
