My dear professor: I forward your letter to Mr. Cornell,
Ballinger, Texas, with the request to write more fully regarding
the plant in question and what he actually knew about for age.
Mr. Connell, I know personally that he writes may be
accepted at its face value. I inclose cope of his letter here with.
The specimen which he sent is exactly the same as that forward-
ed, and which you Commeling Virginia variety and
gustifolia. With you, I am some what surprised to know of its
values as to forage. Will you to at the Washington Meeting
Aug. 12th. I shall hope to meet you there. WIth best wishes,
believe me.
