The University of Minnesota,
Minneapolis, June 4 1885.
My dear Professor
I send you by this mail a
box containing a plant sent me from Duluth
for identification. I do not recognize it &
have not much time just now to [?] to
it [?] pass it on to you, — will you send
me its name.
I suspect we are on the eve of a little
flurry here — I read an extract from the May no.
of the Botanical Gazette – Editorials – to the Executive
Committee Bd of regents a day or two ago & to say
it made a sensation is putting it mild.
Mr Arthur is not the man they want & they didn't
know they had him.
I can write soon definitely after commencement.
Sincerely
C. W. Hall
I have been trying for some time to write to you concerning the plans: I shall soon.
