--The Buffalo Bill combination arrived
in the city this morning, and at
once attracted a great deal of attention,
on account of the wide-spread
popularity and reputation of the great
scout and the fact that there were several
genuine Indians with the party,
in full costume and bedecked with warpaint
and ornaments. At 11 o'clock,
nothwithstanding the fact that rain was
falling a grand street parade was made,
which showed up the company to good
advantage. No word of ours would be
praise for Buffalo Bill. He is to-day
the greatest living scout, and the opera
house should be packed with people, to
witness the presentation of "Prairie
Waif," the most beautiful and thrilling
piece of the kind ever produced. The
press evaerywhere is loud in its praise of
the piece and actors.
