"Buffalo Bill" at the Walnut.
"Buffalo Bill" Cody and his absurd but exciting
drama, Prairie Waif, appeared at the
Walnut Street Theatre last night, and drew an
immense and enthusiastic audience, which
vigorously applauded the scout's rifle shooting,
the Indian dances, and the antics of "Jeremiah,"
the one good actor in the company.
People who want something luridly exciting
when they go to the theatre will find their
fondest aspirations realized by the Prairie
Waif, which will hold the boards all this week,
and be succeeded next Monday by John McCullough
as "Virginius."
