Buffalo Bill.

Garrett's Hall last night was as
full as it could well be with an audience
eager to take in the "Knight of
the Plains," and the attendant blood
and thunder. The curtain rose on
an opening farce, which being of the
roaring nature, wrought the audience
up to a good pitch, and when
the Knight appeared soon after the
second rising of the curtain, the
building shook with the applause.
The play passed off smoothly and
everybody was satisfied, all the
actors doing very creditably, the
Indians being well up in their parts,
as was also Buttermilk and his donkey.
Buffalo Bill is undoubtedly a
very handsome man, and his remarkable
history throws a glamour
of romance about him with powerful
effect. His rifle shooting was good.
Wild Nellie played a good hand, and
Miss Nellie Jones as Rose Melton is
the handsomest lady who has appeared
on the stage in this city in a
long while.
