It was moved by Regent Welsh, seconded by Regent Foote, motion put to vote and carried, that the following retirement be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's Office.

John D. Ford, Maintenance Engineer, Buildings and Grounds, at $765.36 per year, joint and survivor annuity, effective May 1, 1958.

Merrill L. Gould, Associate Extension Agriculturalist, at $858.40 per year, joint and survivor annuity, effective July 1, 1958.

Florence Maryott, Assistant Professor of English, at $839.57, single life, effective July 1, 1958.

Mabel Strong, Assistant Professor of English, at $902.13 single life, effective July 1, 1958.

Death of Staff Member

From the Chancellor's office comes a report of the death of a staff member who has been on University retirement. It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Elliott, motion put to vote and carried, that this death be made a matter of record in these minutes and the University retirement payrolls adjusted accordingly.

George L. Hickam, retired from Electrical Engineering Dept., deceased April 25, 1958.

Summer Session Appointments Approved

It was moved by Regent Greenberg, seconded by Regent Swanson, that the following summer session appointments be approved as recommended by the Chancellor's office. Motion put to vote and carried.
