Lincoln, Nebraska June 15th, 1889.

The Board of Regents of the University met at the usual place at 9 o'clock a.m.

Present Regents Davis, Burnham, Gere, Hull and Roberts
Absent, Regent Mallalieu

The minutes of the last preceeding meeting were read and approved.

The finance committee reported as follows:
Your committee having considered the special report of the Secretary recommend.

1. That the plans and estimates for the improvement and extension of time and bell service be approved, that the Steward be instructed to procure the necessary material and have the work done as speedily as practicable, thenecessary funds being hereby appropriated to defray the expenses of the same.

2. That the matter of sidewalks, grading, equipment of building, gas and water supply and sewerage, be referred to the executive committee with power to act.

3. That one hundred and fifty dollars, or so much thereof as shall be found necessary, is hereby appropriated to defray the expenses of commencement exercises 1889- incidental fund.

On motion the report of the committee was recieved and adopted.

A communication was recieved from Dr. Brace and referred to the committee on course of study.

The finance committee reported as follows:
Your committe have examined the financial report of teh Secretary, also that of the Steward of the University, and find it correct, and recommend the approval of the same.
