Dear Sir--
In the light of the startling events of the past week I hardly think I shall return to Lincoln in the near future. If I can secure a position here in Iowa I shall endeavor to return and finish up my work this summer. But the prospect is not very bright, in fact all my plans are broken up. I have directed Helni to turn over to you a box of slides of Grindelia. The series is complete as far as it goes, but I have not put in the later stages. Will send these lottes to you later. I believe I am in debt to you for slides and cover glasses I had from your department 144 slides, 100 = 41.80 of those larger cover glasses, 22x40 and one box of the smaller ones, 15x22 =.30; I am guessing at the sizes. If there are any other matters that I have not straightened up, please let me know.
